Restaurant Registration

Savour the Season is a 12-day culinary experience designed to promote Durham Region as a leading Ontario culinary destination, and raise public awareness about the Region’s world-class restaurants and growers/producers.

The event takes place from Wednesday September 11 to Sunday, September 22, 2013.

Participating restaurants must offer at least 1 appetizer, 1 main course and 1 dessert, for each service, where a main element is from a Durham Region or Ontario supplier*.

Non-refundable Registration fee:  $350 (tax extra)

Terms _ Conditions:

By signing the 2013 Restaurant Registration Form. and registering for Durham Region’s Savour the Season culinary event, you agree to adhere to the following terms and conditions throughout the duration of the event (Wednesday Sept. 11 to Sunday Sept. 22, 2013):

a)       To develop a special prix fixe menu, that:

  • Showcases your restaurant’s expertise and creativity.
  • Is priced to deliver added value to your patrons.

b)       As a minimum, you agree to offer at least 1 appetizer, 1 main course and 1 dessert, for each service, where a main element is from a local Durham Region or Ontario supplier.  Suppliers must be listed on your Savour the Season prix fixe menus.  Note:  To ensure the integrity of the program, details provided will be subject to verification.

c)       To provide a minimum of 3 appetizers, 3 entrees and 3 desserts for each service in which you choose to participate (lunch and/or dinner).

d)       Allow customers to mix and match any combination (one from each category).

e)       To provide organizers with details of prix fixe menus, no later than June 30, identifying all  local suppliers, using the following price categories: lunch $15, $20, or $25 dinner $20, $25, $30, $35 or $40.

f)         To update organizers immediately of any changes, so the Savour the Season website can be updated to accurately reflect restaurant menus.

g)       To print Savour the Season menus, including the Savour the Season logo, and automatically provide one to each patron when they are seated.

h)       Provide patrons with a customer feedback form (to be provided) and collect them, so Savour the Season staff can assess the success of the event and make improvements for next year.

i)         Complete the restaurant survey, designed to gather your feedback on the event.

Note: Non-compliance with any of these terms and conditions, or unethical conduct by any restaurant staff, will result in being removed from the Savour the Season program, at the discretion of Accolades Events, without justification or refund.

Registration Process:

To be included in the Savour the Season program marketing and promotional materials, you must complete the following steps:

1) Qualify. Participating restaurants must:

  • Currently have a Dine Safe Durham (green) PASS status.
  • Be a full-service restaurant.
  • Have an average price point, for a regular 3-course lunch
  • (including appetizer, main and dessert) over $15, and/or 3-course dinner over $20.

2) Complete and sign the registration form.

3) Submit the form along with your registration fee of $350 (*taxes extra).

Final registration cut-off:  Your cheque must be received by June 15, 2013.

4) Your application will be reviewed for completeness, and your registration will be confirmed by e-mail.ll be confirmed by e-mail.
